La Respuesta que estabas esperando

Lucas 23:6-12                  La respuesta que esperabas.

Entonces Pilato, oyendo decir, Galilea, preguntó si el hombre era galileo. Y al saber que era de la jurisdicción de Herodes, le remitió a Herodes, que en aquellos días también estaba en Jerusalén. Herodes, viendo a Jesús, se alegró mucho, porque hacía tiempo que deseaba verle hacer alguna señal. Y le hacía muchas preguntas, pero él nada le respondió. Y estaban los principales sacerdotes y los escribas acusándole con gran vehemencia (ímpetu y violencia, obra con mucha fuerza y eficacia). Entonces Herodes con sus soldados le menospreció, y escarneció (Hacer burla de otro), vistiéndole de una ropa espléndida; y volvió a enviarle a Pilato. Y se hicieron amigos, Pilato y Herodes aquel día; porque antes estaban enemistados entre sí.

En todos los tiempos ha habido personas que simplemente se burlan y desprecian lo bueno, y luego se arrepienten por haberlo despreciado. El alumno desprecia el estudio mientras es joven, luego se arrepiente de no haber estudiado. El padre desprecia a su hijo de pequeño, y luego se arrepiente del tiempo que no pasó con él, deseando que regrese el tiempo; El esposo desprecia de su esposa, luego se arrepiente de haberla dejado; el joven desprecia el concejo, y luego se arrepiente de sus actos; El hombre desprecia  el amor de Jesús, y cuando está en momentos malos se arrepiente y se acuerda de Él. La frase que nos pesa más es “te lo dije” A Jesús lo tenían de un lado para otro, nadie se animaba a juzgarlo, pues no había hecho nada malo. Herodes se burló de Jesús, pues no sabía que Él era el Rey de Reyes.

Es curioso ver cómo algunas personas que no se llevan se vuelven amigas para criticarte y para hacerte daño. Herodes y Pilato no se llevaban, pero cuando ambos se juntaron en un mismo sentir contra Jesús, se volvieron a hacer amigos. Tal vez tú has sido lastimado o han hecho alguna injusticia contigo, aún sabiendo que tú eres inocente, tal vez hasta se juntan dos enemigos para hacerte daño, pero no te preocupes, es necesario que esto pase para que se cumpla la obra de Dios en ti.

Pudo haber muchas razones por las cuales Jesús quedó en silencio, pudiera ser porque Él, siendo humano en ese momento, sabía que no podía responder guiado por la emoción del enojo. ¿Te ha pasado eso? ¿Quieres responderle igual o peor a alguien que te insulta? Otra razón pudo ser que Él sabía que esto se tenía que cumplir para obedecer el mandato de Dios. Pero la razón que más me gusta imaginarme es que el quedó en silencio, porque nos ama tanto, que prefirió no defenderse, pues en su inmenso amor quiso ser objeto de burla del Diablo antes de que nosotros lo fuéramos. Se entregó,  se humillo y murió por nosotros. Pero al tercer día resucitó.

Así que si estás pasando por un problema, desprecio o crisis, recuerda que Jesús ya murió en la cruz por esa situación, no tienes porque aceptar la tristeza, Jesús ya te dio la alegría; no tienes porque pasar la escasez, Jesús ya te dio la prosperidad, no tienes porque gritarle a tu enemigo, Jesús ya se vengó desde antes por ti, porque recuerda no es la persona, es el espíritu que está en ella; no tienes porque vivir mal, si Jesús ya te dio el bien, no tienes porque sentirte menospreciado, Jesús te da de su amor. No tienes porque sentirte muerto, Jesús dio su vida por la tuya, no tienes porque esperar lo peor para tu vida, si lo mejor de tu vida, esta por venir.

When Pilate heard this, he asked whether the man was a Galilean. And when he learned that he belonged to Herod's jurisdiction, he sent him over to Herod, who was himself in Jerusalem at that time.  When Herod saw Jesus, he was very glad, for he had long desired to see him, because he had heard about him, and he was hoping to see some sign done by him.  So he questioned him at some length, but he made no answer.  The chief priests and the scribes stood by, vehemently accusing him.  And Herod with his soldiers treated him with contempt and mocked him. Then, arraying him in splendid clothing, he sent him back to Pilate.  And Herod and Pilate became friends with each other that very day, for before this they had been at enmity with each other.

Throughout time, there has always been people who simply mock and despise the good, and then repent for having despised. The student refuses to study while young, and then regrets not having studied. The father despises his small son, and then regrets not having spent time with him, wanting to turn back time. The husband renounces his wife, and then regrets having left. A young man neglects council, and then regrets his actions. A man will refuse Jesus’ love, and when in hardship, will repent and remember Him. The phrase that hurts the most is, "I told you". They had Jesus going from one place to another since no one dared to judge him. He had done nothing bad. Herod mocked Jesus, not knowing that he was the King of Kings.

It’s curious to see how some people that don’t get along become friends, whenever they begin to criticize and wish to do you harm. Herod and Pilate did not get along, but when they both joined arms to hurt Jesus, they became friends. Perhaps you have been hurt or have come across some injustice in your life. Even when you’re innocent, there might even be two that are plotting against you. However, you need not worry, these things must happen so that God’s work can be fulfilled within you.

There could have been many reasons why Jesus remained silent. One of them could have been that since he was human at that moment, He knew He shouldn’t answer guided by anger. Has that ever happened to you? You wish to say something just as bad or worse to the person that is insulting you? Another reason could be that He knew this had to happen so that God’s work could be fulfilled. But the reason I like to think He remained silent, is that He loves us so much, that He preferred not to defend Himself. His love is so great, that He preferred to be made fun of by the devil before we would. He turned Himself in, humbled and died for us. But on the third day He rose again.

If you’re going through difficulty, contempt or crisis, remember that Jesus died on the cross for that reason. You don’t have to be sad, Jesus will give you Joy; You don’t have to go through any shortage, Jesus has given you prosperity. Don’t yell at your enemy, Jesus will make vengeance. Remember it’s not the person, but the spirit that is within. You don’t have to live badly, if Jesus has already given you the wealth. Don’t feel rejected, Jesus gives you His love. You need not feel dead, Jesus gave his life for yours. Don’t wait for the worst, if the best of your life is to come.
